CERULEAN SM410 - Cigarette Smoking Machine at Yesmoke Laboratory

The CERULEAN SM410 Cigarette Smoking Machine analyses the cigarettes by "smoking" them according to the International ISO 4387-2000 Standards. The particulate released by the cigarette is collected by a special filter and sampled by a carbon dioxide analyser. The filter that absorbs substances like tar, water, nicotine and aromas is examined in different ways. Gravimetric readings provide the weight of the total particulate. Subsequently the filter is treated with solvents according to ISO 10315 - 2000 and ISO 10362-2 - 1994 and analysed with the prescribed techniques.
